What to do after being targeted
Once — once you get to the point where you’re — you’ve either received a target letter as a — as a potential defendant or you’ve been contacted by an agent, usually most people are going to hire counsel or seek counsel or at least know something’s coming at them. If you do have the resources and the ability to hire counsel and you do and you go in, again, you can try to make a decision pre-indictment if you’re able to do that, if there’s enough time to decide whether or not it’s a good case against you, if you can tell from what the prosecutor tells you, or if it’s something that you’re going to wait for indictment on and possibly go to trial.
